I am currently a student studying photography A level at Thomas Tallis School. This is my online documentation of my work for the next 2 years. I have separated work into units- unit 1 is coursework prior to the exam and unit 2 is exam work. For year 12, in unit 1 I am focusing on the title "Contrast" and looking at contrasting the 'Formal Elements' which you can see here. I have a passion for taking photographs of people and urban street photography, as well as editing using double exposure. I also have a particular interest and style in black & white and minimal photography. I feel black & white sometimes although being very simple, manages to capture and portray a photo even more so than with the distraction of colour. I feel the minimal colours allows the viewer to think and imagine the image in their own way.
My unit 2 work is the externally set task which follows the theme 'Evidence'. This is documented as a continuous page to show the thought processes and links I make within the unit.
Unit 3 is the A2 course for year 13. Our personal project theme is "Surrealism" which is explored in Unit 3. Unit 3 focuses mainly on abstraction and the unusual, whereas unit 4 is the exam work. Again, unit 4 is documented as a continuous page so my thought process and ideas are in a coherent order. My theme for the unit 4 work set by the exam is 'People and Possessions'.
